Dinners That Just Make Sense

Hi Reader!

Whether you’re fasting this month or cooking for someone who is, I always think the focus should be the same. Food that actually sustains you. Not just something to break the fast, but something that helps you feel balanced and clear-headed.

When planning Ramadan meals, I think about protein, fiber, and foods that digest well. Like lentils, yogurt, eggs, rice, and veggies. Nothing complicated, just meals that do their job.

One recipe I make on repeat during Ramadan is my chicken shawarma. I can prep it earlier in the day, let it marinate in the fridge, and cook it right before we eat. It works in wraps, bowls, or just piled over rice with a big spoonful of toum. And the leftovers are great the next day.

Here are some quick, some make-ahead, and all practical options to try. If you’re fasting, I hope they help you feel steady through the day. And if you’re not, they’re really good meals to have in your rotation.
