How I Manage Busy School Weeks

Hi Reader!

I'm a big believer that the secret to a smooth back-to-school season is getting organized before the chaos hits! My go-to move is to sit down with the school calendar and map everything out. Not just activities, but also our breakfasts, snacks, and lunches. Because when the food’s ready, the rest of the day runs smoother!

My quick game plan:

Here’s what helps me most:

Start with the busiest nights
I plan the easiest dinners for the nights we’ll be getting home late.

🍝One pan and dinner is handled

🌮The 25-minute dinner everyone can build

Choose a few repeat breakfasts
The kids don’t need something different every morning. I rotate a few breakfasts I know they’ll actually eat.

💙Blended oats that taste like dessert

💙Pancake muffins for on-the-go mornings

Pack what I can ahead
I portion snacks, wash fruit and prep a few lunchbox basics so I’m not starting from scratch every day.

🥨Crispy 1-ingredient cheese bites kids love

🥨Energy balls with 4 flavors to choose from

Keep one backup option ready
Frozen breakfast sandwiches, muffins or a simple pantry lunch have saved me more than once.

🌯Breakfast burritos you can freeze & reheat

🐔Make a batch now, thank yourself later

School Lunch Boxes

Overnight Oats Container with Foldable Spoon

This is one of our favorite containers for packing a quick breakfast! I actually use it all the time for school activities when I need a quick snack while the kids are busy. And the set of 2 is currently on sale, too!
