If you’re looking at the calendar and realizing Thanksgiving is basically here, don’t worry. You can still pull this off without stress. I put together a handful of sides that work really well at the last minute, plus some essential hosting tips I use to keep calm even when I’m running behind.
I’ve already cooked through my whole Thanksgiving menu this month, so consider this your shortcut version. Make one or two of these sides, follow the quick tips below, and you’ll be in great shape for Thursday!

Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes

- Set the table the day before so it’s completely done.
- Match serving bowls and spoons to each dish and set them aside.
- Group dishes with similar temps together so they go into the oven at the same time.
- Reheat on low so everything warms evenly without drying out.
- Chop any last veggies now and store them in airtight containers.
- Mix sauces or dressings early, so they’re ready to pour.
- Put drinks, ice, and glassware out before guests arrive.
- Keep a small snack board ready so people aren’t crowding the kitchen.
- Clean as you go so you’re not staring at a full sink later.
- Make any desserts now so they're ready to go!
