Hi Reader!
It's September, which means back-to-school and back-to-routine season! My kids went back to school last week and it has been so busy with all the prep, orientations and open houses. But we are still not ready to say goodbye to summer, especially because August in Michigan is my favorite!
3 fun things we loved this month were visiting the Meijer Garden to check out the Chihuly Glass Art Outdoor Exhibition, spending a lazy day on Lake Michigan, and even attending an outdoor concert at the new amphitheater in Grand Rapids!
I hosted 3 Feel Good Foodie events in Michigan last month where I got to meet some of you! First was a styling demo at Vulpine Shop in Holland, where I shared hosting and plating tips for 3 recipes from my cookbook. Second was a dinner with Diamond Crystal Salt in Saint Clair Shores right on the water. And third was the Arabian Nights Festival in Ann Arbor this past weekend, where I shared how to make Brownie Date Balls from my cookbook.
If you live in Michigan and want to be notified of any Michigan events, you can join my Michigander Events Newsletter here.
Even though I'm testing fall recipes right now and starting to eye some fall fashion and home decor items, I'm still enjoying the weather before it's too cold to sit outside. So that means catering meals for my family in our backyard, enjoying my mid-day matcha outdoors, and just soaking up patio season while it lasts! I'm also doing some slight re-organization and updates in my kitchen. I'll share some updates soon!
