What Made February So Good 💙

Hello Reader!

February may be the shortest month, but it certainly didn't feel like it! This month was filled with a fun blend of music, food, family, and community.

We kicked the month off with apps and snacks for the Super Bowl, with my go-to baked chicken wings, buffalo chicken sliders (a new favorite!), and fresh guacamole. I even made some delicious cheese cookies for the first time, and I definitely recommend making them. It was so fun cheering on the Seahawks and Bad Bunny this year!

The family fun continued with Disney on Ice, and we thought the kids might be a little too old for it, but it was really enjoyable for all of us! And I celebrated one of our friends' birthdays with a group we call "The Real Housewives of Grand Rapids."

For Valentine’s Day, my husband and I headed to Las Vegas for a bucket-list concert: the Backstreet Boys at the SPHERE! There is nothing quite like thousands of fans screaming "I Want It That Way" in unison. We leaned into the 2000s vibes with matching outfits - definitely my favorite concert ever!

Ramadan is also here, and I want to wish everyone in our community who is observing Ramadan Mubarek. Keep an eye out for my favorite recipes during this month. I love seeing what everyone is making for Suhoor and Iftar. I’ve been making the Crushed Lentil Soup on repeat over here and enjoying some iftar feasts with friends, including stuffed grape leaves, my most loved date cake recipe, and chicken kafta!

Another highlight this month was participating in the Women’s Health Expo right here in Grand Rapids. I had the honor of speaking on the "Food that Fuels Women" panel. We talked about real-life nutrition and how to view food as fuel rather than a chore.

What made the Expo so special was the crowd. It wasn't just for athletes, it was a multi-generational celebration featuring daughters, grandmothers, and the supporters who cheer them on from the sidelines. And I even got to give out Oath Oats samples which was such a treat!

I thought it would also be fun to share some of my favorite finds this month:

👗I wore on repeat: Lululemon Sweatshirt

📺Binge Watched: Bridgerton yes, I've already finished the second half😅

📦Favorite Home Purchase: Insulated Glass Measuring Cups
