Hi Reader!
July seriously was so good. I’m writing this email on the plane home from France with my family, so I’m definitely still in vacation mode and thinking about all the fun we had. I traveled with my parents, siblings, and all of our kids. There were 13 of us total, so it was loud, hectic, and an absolute blast. We visited Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Saint-Tropez, Èze and Monaco, then finished the trip with a couple of days in Paris. I got so many sweet compliments on my outfits on Instagram, so I linked everything still available here. It was such a special trip, and I really hope we can go back one day.
Aside from our big annual summer trip, we had family visit for the Fourth of July and spent the weekend grilling, hanging by the pool, and eating lots of good food, including my homemade beef burgers, healthy coleslaw, and pesto pasta salad.
The kids have also been keeping me busy with summer camps. They each had something different almost every week, from basketball and science one week to piano, tennis, and even a theater camp where they had one week to learn their lines and put on a play. I love when camp ends with a performance. Between the piano recital and the play, it felt like such a treat for us too. In between mom mode, I reunited with a few friends who live out of town for a girls’ tea, and we coordinated our outfits in blue, which made it even more fun.
A few other July highlights: Feel Good Foodie officially turned 13! Monogram gifted me an upgraded version of my current oven with more bells and whistles and Wi-Fi, and we took a fun beach trip to Lake Michigan. Then, in a very Michigan turn of events, wildfire smoke from Canada brought an unhealthy air quality alert and sent us right back indoors.
It was a full month in the best way, with lots of family time, travel, food and memories I’m still thinking about.
