What Made May So Good 💙

Hi Reader!

Happy June! The kids are about to be out of school and we are so ready for summer! May was packed with so many incredible reasons to celebrate, including a garden themed birthday party for my friend, a baby shower for another friend and an Indian themed birthday weekend celebration.

For Mother’s Day, I celebrated with my mom and sisters with brunch in downtown Detroit and then a visit to the newly restored Michigan Central Station.

When we got back to Grand Rapids, my husband surprised me with my homemade Lemon Bread 🥰.

I had the opportunity to be a guest on Cooking School week on Live with Kelly and Mark! I got to share the super simple 3:1 formula for making homemade vinaigrette and you can watch the full cooking segment here.

While I was there, I recorded a fun interview with George Duran for his new podcast. One of the trip highlights was #fangirling/running into the iconic Bobby Flay at the studio!

Finally, this month I celebrated the two-year anniversary of my cookbook! I am so incredibly happy and grateful for your continued support.

Memorial Day kicked off summer officially and before we grilled, we completed the MURPH workout challenge with our friends. It's 1 mile, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, 1 mile, and it kicked our butts! I'm excited for patio party season and hosting friends and family this summer with all kinds of great meals!

I thought it would also be fun to share some of my favorite finds this month!
